SET YOURSELF UP TO FAIL

I'm curious, in your life, do you set yourself up to always win? Are you ever taking risks? Are you ever putting it all on the line with failure as an option? If you're setting yourself up to always win, then you are doing yourself a great disservice in this life, my friend.

All growth happens through the failures – the learning curve and the process. When you accomplish something, you need to set bigger, audacious, more bodacious, goals to go after. If you're setting yourself up to always win, it's great for stroking your ego, and you can pat yourself on the back and other people can pat you on the back, but are you really doing anything that matters?

Are you really tapping into the gifts and abilities that are inside? Are you going after things at a level where failure's a very real option and when that happens, are you okay with that? Are you okay with learning through that? If you're setting yourself up for failure, you're setting yourself up for success. John A. Shedd said it best when he stated, “A ship in a harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.”
